Our vision is to provide children and young people a secure, supporting and caring environment to assist them to overcome the impact of their early life experiences recognising each child/young person’s own different and specific sets of needs to develop resilience, self-esteem and confidence to aspire to achieve their full potential and to live fulfilling lives.
Our mission is to support our youth people emotionally, vocationally, and socially to make healthy choices and become independent while providing a safe and nurturing environment.
Our home provides the safety and nurturing skills young people need to thrive. Many have encountered adverse childhood experiences, including complex trauma from being criminally exploited or radicalised, or foster placement breakdowns. Some have mental health issues and neurodevelopmental disorders. That’s why everything we do at Willow Grove is underpinned by our therapeutic approach to ensure they get the right person-centred support.
To support this vision, we aim to provide and deliver care to children and young people to reduce the number of placements which can have a detrimental impact on their emotional wellbeing and mental health, and which has the potential to hinder them from forming stable relationships with adults who can care for and protect them.
Our Homes
Our homes are well organised and maintained offering children and young people a family environment where they can live together as a group with high-quality care, safety and security.
Young people will be enabled to rebuild their lives and prepare to transition to the next stage of their development; whether that involves returning to their local communities, other services and or return to family if appropriate.
Our Quality
We deliver care that is effective and of high quality delivered by an experienced and qualified team of residential staff with expertise of working in GRIP home environments.
Our team is further complimented and supported by our contracted clinical psychologist and psychotherapists working with young people to understand their individual experiences and to secure good outcomes.
Our Success
Children and young people will have access to and benefit from individually tailored packages of therapeutic support that meets their individual needs. Staff will liaise with the clinical team for guidance on the effective delivery of the therapeutic practice and process. This ensures there is a whole team approach to supporting the best outcomes for the young people in our care.
