Our Vision

Our vision is to help children and young people to develop their social, independence and educational skills so they can fulfil their aspirations and potential.

Willow Grove offers a range of bespoke and high quality care and education for young people within a safe and homely environment and has been specifically designed to support individuals in leading active and independent lives.

We empower and inspire young people to make the right choices in pursuit of their passion and happiness, through a broad and bespoke curriculum.

With dedicated staff, a unique approach and purpose-built facilities; we provide a supportive, safe and happy environment where all young people make progress regardless of ability level.

Our Ethos

Willow Grove's ethos is co-created by our young people.

Everyone has the right to:

  • Be treated with respect: keeping your hands, feet and unkind words to yourself.

  • Be accepted for who we are.

  • Be listened to and supported.

  • Try their best and be recognised for their achievements.

  • Learn in a safe school environment where resources are well-maintained and respected.

Our Environment

Willow Grove provides the best physical environment for the needs of children and young people. Our newly refurbished building with specialist facilities provides a spacious, calm and safe environment in which young people can thrive. Such facilities fully support our creative learning curriculum where we utilise various communications systems which is led by our SENCo and Speech and Language Therapists.

State-of-the-art specialist facilities

Our facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technology such as interactive touch screens, similar to those found in any modern home environment. Many of our specialised amenities cater to the sensory needs of young people, addressing their senses of sight, sound, touch, and smell. These facilities are designed to enhance sensory development, coordination, and communication, ultimately promoting interaction, concentration, calmness, and confidence.

Sensory Integration Room

Designed to stimulate and support the children’s sensory needs skills, young people can use the equipment to manage their own arousal levels whilst providing calming and relaxing break out spaces for a variety of activities, games and therapy. Our home environment provides a perfect area for young people to interact with their peers.
