Our specialised residential home offers mixed gender placements for young people aged between 11 to 18. Our unique approach seeks to ensure children feel safe, secure, not judged, accepted and understood, by providing specialist care for children with a range of complex needs which have resulted from the trauma they have experienced.
These complex needs can often stem from the impact of uninvolved parents, abuse and neglect, violence, gang radicalisation, and poor social environment. These experiences can leave young people with complex emotional and behavioural and mental health needs, which can increase their vulnerability to abuse (Bazalgette, Rahilly, and Trevelyan, 2015; Luke et al, 2014), emotional and behaviour needs including disability.
We provide trauma-informed therapeutic residential services, helping young people gain stability, a sense of purpose, and an understanding of how their experience may have impacted on their own sense of self. We provide the opportunity to support and to help them identify what is important to them and to have a say in their choices and their own care.
